TCM ! 3.0

At school and at home, in print and online!

Home / TCM ! 3.0

To perform well, it is important that children can concentrate on the lesson material. Research has shown that there is an important link between physical activity and school performance. Through sport and exercise, certain parts of the brain positively stimulate concentration. And this leads to a greater willingness to learn.

Based on this fact, Fysio Educatief has developed methodologies that serve as a guide for physical activities, as a welcome contrast to the emphasis on cognitive effort.

The Class Moves!

The Class Moves! supports teachers in their daily teaching practice. This playful method is literally and figuratively meant for all of the children in the classroom. Wherever the method is used, in addition to it being a nice change, it also results in lots of fun. This classroom-based Fysio Educatief method consists of seven calendars for the classroom.

TCM ! 3.0 is the logical continuation of The Class Moves! In TCM ! 3.0, the emphasis is more on the daily life of the individual child. Both printed materials and a computer programme are used for this purpose, based on the assignments from our previous method, This is how you move!

These assignments are challenging and very varied. An assignment might ask a student, for example, to make a drawing about his or her dream sport, or indicate exactly how much time he or she actually spends moving.

Moving in a safe and conscious way

How was it today?

TCM ! 3.0 encourages safe and conscious movement. The programme contains assignments for the classroom and for the home. The goal is for students to become aware of the importance of exercise, of their own physical activity, and of how they can improve their performance in a fun way. It also addresses topics such as support from the family and from the environment, and planning skills.

In this way, TCM! 3.0 identifies a child’s motion activities outside of the classroom, and encourages parents to become more involved with their children.
